About the organization
The Africa Family Business Summit (AFBS) is an independent, pan-African institution dedicated to the continuity and long-term success of family-owned enterprises across the continent. Now established as AFBS Family Enterprises Africa LBG, the organization convenes business-owning families, next-generation leaders, advisors and partners through a flagship annual summit, a continent-wide membership network, an ongoing thought-leadership series, and targeted capacity-building programs.
AFBS exists to ensure that the enterprises which underpin Africa's livelihoods, local economies and generational wealth are equipped to thrive — not for one generation, but for many.

To strengthen the sustainability and continuity of African family-owned enterprises by delivering high-quality education, mentorship and leadership development, and business facilitation for business-owning families and next-generation leaders — through convenings and networking, capacity-building initiatives, and strategic partnerships.
